Gutter Cleaning in Winter

Here at Access Maintenance Solutions we offer a variety of services, including gutter cleaning. Keeping your gutter clear is important at any time of year, but even more so in winter.

In winter all the little problems with your gutters being blocked are exacerbated tenfold. This is because in winter there is simply more of everything that can damage your roof.

All year round roofs take an incredible beating, and so keeping your gutters clear always matters. Gutters take any water that has fallen and guides it away from your roof into the sewer system where it is disposed of. If, for whatever reason, your gutter is blocked then this cannot happen. Instead water will flow out of your gutters, and go where it should not.

Water can actually be very corrosive, for extreme examples just look what can happen to rivers and valleys over time, or the rust that can be caused when something is exposed to water.

If this were to happen in or around your building, commercial or domestic, the results could be devastating.

The problem is, in winter the things that block gutters are amplified. The leaves have all fallen in Autumn, and will be sitting in the gutters solidifying. There is also a huge amount of precipitation in the form of rain and snow, which not only washes things into your gutters, but obviously puts a higher strain on them.

This is why it is of crucial importance to make sure that your gutters are clear now. Unfortunately a lot of commercial buildings have complex, difficult to access roofs and gutter systems. This is where Access Maintenance Solutions comes in.

We have over 30 years’ experience working with high, and difficult access roofs. We cut our teeth as steeplejacks, but have since expanded to offer a wide range of high access services, including gutter clearing. We have cleared innumerable gutters on commercial roofs, and so know how to tackle any issue we face.
