At Access Maintenance, we complete jobs of various sizes and always enjoy show-casing some of the challenges we face. This not only provides an insight into the work we do on a day to day basis, it also illustrates our skillset and expertise which we apply to all areas of high level roofing and maintenance.

One challenge we recently faced was on a job which required us to thoroughly clean a concealed telecommunications system. As this telecommunications system was in a confined space and therefore difficult to access, we carried out initial inspections before beginning the work to ensure we could access the site, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

The main problem with this structure was that bird droppings had collected over time leaving the system extremely unclean. Birds landing and nesting on roofs and buildings is very common and as their droppings can be corrosive, they damage any structure they are left on, making them extremely problematic. This telecommunications structure was in a bad condition and it was therefore essential that this maintenance work was carried out.

This job was at times difficult, however our engineers used their years of experience to provide a high-quality solution to the problem, ensuring the structure was in a good condition and completing the job to the highest standard.
